It's Turkey Day in The States. And while most families are huddling around the TV, sharing personal stories, and preparing for a king-sized holiday feast—please take this perfect moment to reflect on all the blessings you have received.

For me, there are many...

We live in a country where learning and critical thinking are not crimes. Libraries of CDs, DVDs, and the written word have been recorded and are made available. We can tap its rich source to expand our universe.

We have the freedom to upgrade ourselves, make contributions, and add value to people's lives. Two thousand years ago, there was a Jewish carpenter who modeled giving and serving. Today there's an industry of self-development programs we can take advantage of to improve every aspect of our lives.

We have the choice to become proactive instead of being reactive. We can begin to improve our health, wealth, and happiness. It's something we can individually design. All it takes is a shift in our thinking. This is where it starts.

We have the power to overcome. Scores of workshops, coaching programs, and resources are available to capture, create, and design a better us. We can deflate our fears, insecurities, and low self-esteem. And through this transformation, our lives will never be the same again.

We can be grateful for family. They have been there for us through the best, and worst of times. Love being the common denominator. Have you hugged a family member lately?

We can appreciate our friends. They know things about us even our family don't know about. And they still like us. How about calling a friend to connect or sending a Thank You Card?

We can be thankful for our faith. Whether it's faith in people or in a higher source, we benefit from having hope in someone or something beside ourselves.

I am grateful for you. And your desire to succeed. This announces to the world you still have dreams and are willing to pursue them. Bravo! And for all you winners:
