Improving
Your Success Vision
Dear
Associate,
A
real estate agent I know is passionate about her fundraiser
for women who are victims of abuse, kidnapping and torture
from war-torn countries. She raises awareness by making private
presentations pointing to an art exhibit with proceeds directed
to the fundraising organization. Although she speaks from
her heart: she can double, triple or quintuple her response
rate by making a few improvements in her presentation.
A
financial advisor I admire has formally separated and is now
a single mom of three. She claims her ex had been smoking
pot every single day since their wedding night. She had recently
broken off from one relationship searching for the next. Although
she is quite smart and attractive, she can find an excellent
suitor by making some improvements in her selection process.
An
up-and-coming speaker I respect has a message he wants to
share with people who want to begin a revolution for corporate
accountability, integrity and righting all wrongs. He has
more knowledge than an encyclopedia. Yet if you ask him a
simple question, you'll secretly want him to cease and desist
his information dump. Although he has great zeal for his subject,
he can attract more converts by making a few improvements
in the way he presents himself.
What
do these three have in common?
A
limited vision.
Allow
me to explain...
My
three companions are trapped in a negative holding pattern.
They want to improve their situations but in every instance
they're repeating the same behaviors that have led them to
their current condition. They're actually sabotaging the success
they're craving for. Doesn't this sound insane to you?
Your
vision is not your goals or something you pray for or dream
about. Your real vision is actually where you are today. You
are living your personal vision at this very moment.
Really.
Like
my three companions above, you may want to improve your reality.
Most people do. But what will you do differently next time
to get there?
Let's
go deeper...
The
good and bad you manifest into your life is a result of thousands
of little decisions, made from hundreds of thousands of thoughts.
And whatever you think about most (especially on a subconscious
level) becomes self-fulfilling. Now if you improve your thoughts...
your beliefs improve... your actions improve... then you'll
have an improved vision which changes your reality.
Sound
easy?
Not
so. Because our thoughts are constantly being bombarded with
tons of negative programming on a regular basis. Especially
from the media. This bombardment began when we were children.
At our most impressionable age.
We
then go through life making repetitive decisions like a broken
record. We are guilty of making the same mistakes one after
another. We're as predictable as geese flying south for the
winter.
How
do you abort these negative patterns?
By
first improving your thoughts. That means removing as much
of the negative programming (like TV, the news and negative
friends) as possible. Then you immediately replace those with
positive programming like As a Man Thinketh by James
Allen, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, or The
Day that Turns Your Life Around by Jim Rohn.
If you're like most people, you have too much potential to
stay stuck in negative patterns. It doesn't have to be this
way. Beginning now, you can improve your vision.
Let's
skip the shallow, quick fix surface remedies. When you find
and fix the root cause you can then make great strides
toward improving your reality. Today can be your first day
for a positive tomorrow.
Warm
regards,
